Failure for him started when he was just 13years old. Repeating standard 8 again was surprising for him but not a shock for his family. Perhaps they were prepared. He took it as a challenge and headed towards giving the tests again. Promotion to standard 9 was a moment of contentment. But it hardly lasted. Repeating the same class was still destined. And then it was promotion to standard 10. The class for which everyone prepares themselves, as though they are entering into a den. The world war, group C and group D sums, test- tubes and chemical formulas all made him realize in the beginning itself that first attempt won’t be enough. It was time for a second chance. However, the second chance didn’t prove lucky too this time. Nevertheless, repeating a class again and again was now a custom for him. Fortunately for him his brother who was 6 years younger to him had reached the same class (10) while he was busy repeating his same divisions. He would explain the geometrical theories, war answers scientific logic and would ask him to prepare thoroughly the group A and group B sums and quit the rest. Younger sibling’s efforts paid off. He finally passed his school. For his mother it was time for celebration but his father’s emotions were left unexpressed. Merely, to complete his junior college he took up commerce and just passed for he couldn’t have afford to waste more years. His friends were all ahead of time earning and doing well in their respective careers, and here he was way behind still besieged in completing his basic standards.
In the midst of his repeats all were oblivious about his thunderous mind. The witness of his dynamic thoughts and blaze like motivation was only to himself and he must not have even thought to be answerable to anyone. Certain secrets were left only to him. In standard five the money provided by his mom for evening snack was utilized for the said purpose but, not entirely. Some amount was saved for his wish of a watch which he had eyed on then. The savings grew on so did his mind. With three years of stash he sold speakers with huge profits. And the profits paved the way for him to fulfill his wish. Yes he purchased the watch. Possibly, that was his VISION to see himself wearing the same exactly three years from then.
Post his junior college the struggle for identity continued he did his diploma along with his commerce graduation. He simply went ahead but not with the flows, in fact where he wanted to. In the torrential rains of 26th July in Mumbai everyone were praying to be back home but here he was going back to office from home. May be hard work was in his genes. May be work was his passion and today he is a brand in the field of technology. The work which he was passionate about made him reach his destination and his hard work got him reap of it. At the moment his brand value is so much that the Japanese require him. No surprises that from past three years he is being welcomed by his close ones straight from Tokyo. The love for this 6feet2.4 inch guy grows within every ones heart who knows him because he is still that tall, sleek guy who could only spread love while having a vision in his failure.
(The above instance is a true story dedicated to those who give up on life for mere reason of academics.)
